Ephesians 2:4-5

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us with Christ. (By grace ye were saved" (Ephesians 2:4-5, KJV)

My interpretation: Because God is so good, and loves us so much, he grouped us with Jesus from day one. It is also saying that we have NOT saved ourselves, as Rob Bell seems to think, but that God has saved us, out of love. He did not have to save us, so it is by His grace we have been saved.

Act On It: This Week, I challenge you to tell at least one person about God's great mercy.


Crafty Corner: Make a poster to remind you of this!
Take a white piece of posterboard with dimensions to your liking, and with a sharpie, draw a thick black line down the center of the posterboard, lengthwise. Then, taking drawings ,cartoon printouts, and magazine cutouts, make a "Good" side and a "Bad" Side. On the bad side, put the pictures of actions that God says are wrong. On the good side, put pictures reflecting thought of the Beatitudes, and other good deeds. Et Voila! Instant poster!
